My Story

My story doesn't necessarily involve trauma. I was very fortunate with the parents I have.

The church they attended wasn't all fire and brimstone or anything. But I was also interested in history and the historical behaviour of Christians is very at odds with the teachings of Jesus. That is what led me to reject religion and sent me on a journey through various philosophies and spiritual traditions.

I have read many so called sacred texts beyond just the Bible. All those experiences taught me that the basic teachings or almost always the same. The issue is complicated nonsense gets layered on top and used as a method of control. Which usually takes the religion completely away from spirituality and turns it into something used to subjugate.

My journey has taught me that I don't need large organizations telling me how to live. Instead I just need to be kind and follow my heart.
